Lycée Albert Camus, which takes pride in having been inaugurated by President Charles De Gaulle himself, has resolutely embraced the 21st century. After extensive rehabilitation, it provides an outstanding educational environment offering our students every opportunity to reach their full potential. Our Lycée is staunchly committed to facing the future and developing citizens able to progress confidently into the world.

In today’s age of globalization, our School has been awarded the ETOILE certification which sanctions an outstanding linguistic syllabus. We are the only school in the Gard to offer Chinese courses and Bachibac.

In today’s age of Information Technology, our school has the DIGITAL CERTIFICATION, grade II (Académie de Montpellier and Région Languedoc Roussillon), in recognition of our commitment to the use to ICT within the classroom programme.

In today’s age of climate change, we strive to develop awareness of and respect for the environment in our students through the AGENDA 21 programme (Conseil Régional) and the Education to a Sustainable Development programme.

As a comprehensive and technological Lycée, with tertiary and laboratory courses, we offer our students every opportunity to realize their ambitions through a wide spectrum of courses ranging from the 5th form to professional degrees.

To prepare our students to fully play their parts in tomorrow’s society, to enhance their autonomy and sense of responsibility, we strongly emphasize extracurricular activities and encourage them to involve themselves with the bodies that represent them, la Maison des Lycéen and le Comité de Vie Lycéenne.

The School places great importance on links with the local community and has established a number of collaborative ventures with local business, academic and cultural partners.

At Lycée Camus, we are all fully aware that school is a major part of our students’ lives and are wholly committed to provide them with a vibrant environment : linguistic exchanges, a theater workshop, Webradio, Arts Week, charity work etc..

Lycée Albert Camus strives to adapt to the constant changes in Education and to meet its demands and challenges. By offering courses which are both ambitious and adapted to our students, we aim to create a school where all and every one of them can realize their full potential, socially and academically.
